What is a Marine Nature Reserve (MNR)?
Marine Nature Reserves are areas recognised for their special marine features and have a level of protection broadly equivalent to National Nature Reserves. At present, however there are only 3 in the UK and as such you are unlikely to come across them. The three sites are Lundy, Skomer and Strangford Lough.
